You can imagine how we feel about ‘Dry January’, especially this year!
So rather than going dry, we’d ask you to consider continuing to support independent retailers such as ourselves, and our great British breweries during this testing time.
Why not place an order for one of our TRYANUARY packs and take a walk down to the shop to collect? Exercise, fresh air and the promise of a spectacular beer at the end!
Here’s my first selection for you:-
Duration – Dripping Pitch: A classic West Coast IPA, or, the style that got me into beer in the first place! Big, bold, hoppy bitterness from classic US strains, balanced with a weighty malt bill. This is IPA like it used to be.
Unbarred – Nelson Sauvin & Gooseberry Sour: Now, I don’t like gooseberries, and I’m not a massive fan of Nelson Sauvin, but I absolutely love this. It’s tart, but not too tart balanced with a full body. If you’ve never got into sours, this is a great great place to start.
Verdant – Pulp: If you’ve always wanted to try a DIPA (Double India Pale Ale) this is the place to start. Massive fruit aromas, big body, big mouthfeel and a hefty 8% abv carrying all those aromas. This is a benchmark example of the style.
Signature Brew Com- Anthology 2020: If ever there were a time for imperial stouts, it’s in the cold depths of midwinter and this is one of the best. Six types of malt shine through providing body and depth as well as the huge base note flavours which are then enhanced with some cocoa and a little lactose to smooth everything off absolutely glorious!
